Account & access
Forgot your password? Reset it here and check spam or junk if the email doesn’t arrive. If two-factor auth is enabled, check for autofilled or expired codes. Paralegal profiles must include a clear headshot, current resume, and accurate practice-area and jurisdiction details; photos are reviewed for clarity and professionalism and can take 1–2 business days. Update your email, profile, or security settings anytime in Settings. If you can’t access your account, contact support.
Self-serve account deactivation is available in Settings and removes your account from active platform participation, but it is not full erasure. Paralegals cannot deactivate while involved in an active matter or while escrow, payout, dispute, or other financial obligations remain unresolved.
Invitations & Applying
To apply to open matters, use the Browse cases button to go to the Browse Cases page, then filter by practice area, state, minimum compensation, and experience; open a posting and click Apply for this case. A cover letter is required, and your résumé and LinkedIn profile are included automatically. After you submit, you’ll see a confirmation and the application appears under Cases and Applications → My Applications, where you can search by title or practice area and filter by date; you’ll be notified if the attorney accepts or declines, and accepted applications move to Active Cases. Invitations appear in your dashboard activity and notifications—open the invite, review the summary, and accept or decline. Accepting an invitation or applying to a case requires Stripe Connect to be set up first in Profile Settings, here.
Working a case
Post updates in the thread, upload drafts and final files to the case, and ask clarifying questions before you start if anything is unclear. When you deliver work, summarize what’s included and what still needs review so the attorney can respond quickly.
Tasks are created by the attorney and appear in the case overview as a checklist. Use them to track what’s due; only the attorney can check tasks off. Once all tasks are checked, the attorney can mark the case complete and release payment.
Payouts & Stripe Connect
Payouts are processed through Stripe. Connect your Stripe account to receive funds. Payouts are released after the attorney confirms completion or the applicable review period ends after final delivery of work. Funds are released immediately, governed by Stripe and your financial institution.
Withdrawals & disputes
Withdrawals and disputes are actionable from the case workspace by clicking the flag icon. Withdrawal is only available before all tasks are complete; if you withdraw before any tasks are completed, a $0 payout is issued, and if some tasks are complete, you are removed from the case and cannot submit further work (payout decisions are made by the attorney, if applicable). To dispute, choose Open Dispute, add optional details, and confirm—this pauses the workspace for both parties while it’s reviewed, and you’ll see a status update in the case.
