Paralegals receive invitations once an attorney posts a matter. Accept the work that fits your scope and timeline.
All active and archived assignments live under the Cases & Files area (open the Case Files view), and new invitations will surface on your dashboard.

Each case has its own thread directly inside the case workspace so conversations stay organized. Open an active case to chat with your paralegal or attorney.

How funds move safely between attorneys and paralegals using Stripe.
Funding the job
When an attorney posts a flat-fee job, Stripe charges their card or bank method at checkout. We store only the necessary Stripe IDs, never full card numbers.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Funds remain within Stripe’s infrastructure until the attorney marks the work complete or a platform compliance review resolves a dispute.
Release & payout
Once approved, a Stripe Transfer is sent to your Stripe Connect account.
Payouts usually settle within 2–3 business days, depending on the receiving bank.
Fees, taxes, and refunds
- Platform fees are displayed in the case flow and are deducted automatically.
- All Stripe fees are paid for and covered by Let's-ParaConnect except in cases involving a dispute resulting in refund or partial refund.
- Let's-ParaConnect charges a 22% platform fee to attorneys during the funding of Stripe and is reflected on the receipt after job completion.
- Let's-ParaConnect charges an 18% platform fee to paralegals that is automatically deducted out of the funds released by Stripe after job completion.
- Let's-ParaConnect does not have subscription fees.
- Users are responsible for their own taxes. Stripe may collect additional forms when required.
- Refunds (full or partial) are issued only through the Platform’s dispute process before funds are released and are processed by Stripe to the original payment method. After release, refunds are generally not available through the Platform.
- If a payment is reversed (chargeback), Stripe may offset future payouts.
Cancellations & withdrawals
- Cases can be deleted only before a paralegal is hired and before Stripe funding occurs. Once funded or hired, cases cannot be deleted and can be archived for recordkeeping.
- If a paralegal withdraws before completion and no tasks were completed, a $0 payout is issued and the case relists.
- If some work was completed, the attorney may set a partial payout (capped at 70% of the case amount unless an admin approves otherwise) or close without release, which starts a 24-hour dispute window for the withdrawn paralegal. Disputes are reviewed for Platform compliance and may result in a refund, partial release, or full release.
Approval, revisions & disputes
- Attorneys should review deliverables promptly and request revisions before release.
- Open an in-platform dispute prior to release if the work doesn’t meet the agreed scope.
- Stripe fees will be deducted from refunded costs and will be adjusted accordingly if the refund is partial.
FAQ
Do you store card data? No. All sensitive payment information is saved with Stripe directly; we retain only the Stripe IDs needed to link funding and payout.
What if a Paralegal hasn’t completed Connect? They’ll be prompted to finish onboarding, and payouts remain pending in Stripe until they complete KYC.
Can I pay hourly? Version 1 focuses on flat-fee jobs to keep billing simple. Hourly support is on the roadmap.
How long do payouts take? After release, Stripe typically pays out within 1–3 business days depending on bank and country.
